This Somatic Day Retreat for Sensitive & Neurodivergent Adults Ready to Break Free From The Burden Of Feeling Broken

Saturday 13th September | 9:30-18:00 | Hoxton, East London

Complex Trauma and Neurodivergence can leave you feeling stuck, shut dow, and craving the rest and stability that at times feels so hard to come by. It can feel like you're constantly battling with yourself, while everyone else seems to be doing a better job of holding it together.

In this creative, grounded, and emotionally honest day-retreat, you'll begin to shift the shut down and balm your brokenness back into belonging.

You'll dive deep into nervous system repair, and mend the ruptures of complex- trauma so that you can shed the shame, have peace take the place of panic, and experience new found levels of self-acceptance, restful resilience, and mental calm.

This incredible day is for you if...

The pain of complex trauma and ADHD complexities leave you frazzled, exhausted and craving calm

You’re tired of holding it all together on the outside

You're constantly picking yourself apart and relentlessly questioning what you think, say and do.

People-pleasing, fawning, or shutting down has become second nature

You want to stop the spirals, regain your energy, and make being you a whole lot easier!

Healing Isn’t Just About Thinking Differently. It’s About Feeling Safe On A Physiological Level.

When you've experienced bullying, emotional neglect, or grew up in an unpredictable home, your body learned to stay hyper-alert, quieten your voice, or hide your sensitivity in order to survive.

In a group space built for co-regulation, connection, and realness - not performance - you give your body a new imprint: one of being accepted, safe, and seen.

This is how you learn that it's truly safe to be you, not intellectually, but experientially.

As Brene Brown says :

"True belonging doesn't require us to change who we are; it requires us to BE who we are."

This isn’t just a retreat. It’s an experiential shift into safety.

If you’re tired of holding it all in, masking, managing, and having to hide how you feel…

If you've spent years quietening your voice, putting others first, or pushing your feelings under the rug…

If you want to soften the survival responses, and disperse the blocks preventing you from moving forward....

Then this is the place to shed the shame, melt the mask, and experience the peace, rest, and relief your body's been craving.

How Does It Happen

Through an expertly led mix of movement, somatic exploration, Creative Art Therapy, Nervous System Regulation and and Somatic Group Coaching - oh and a good dose of time under the trees if whether permits! It is England after all.

*the day is especially designed with your sensitivity and over stimulated nervous system in mind... so you'll be well taken care of. There's even Nurture Nooks and a beautiful courtyard for those mindful breaks and pauses.

Has the relentlessness of fighting, pushing, and talking down to yourself been walking beside you for too long?

The nervous system strain of complex trauma, neurodivergence, and deep sensitivity leaves you feeling like you're always falling short and constantly battling against yourself.

Hey, I’m Tana J...

And while I'm glad to not be lost in the spirals of panic and anxiety that ruled most of my life, I can't say i'd be here without the work of Somatic Healing & Nervous System Repair.

I grew up feeling sure that the world wasn’t built for me. A protective nervous system response from losing my older brother, Mateo, when I was 6, spending years bullied, and being raised by single grief stricken mum with no support. I believed I was broken and totally alone in this world - and panic and suicidal ideation was my norm.

Somatic Therapy was the one modality that honoured my Neurodivergent mind, and gave me a space to heal without needing to tell the story over and over again. It became about experiencing change, not simply conceptual understanding

With over a decade of experience in nervous system repair and holistic health - and training in Creative Therapeutic Practice, Counselling, Early Childhood Development, and Somatic Trauma-Informed Coaching - I offer an approach that’s both deeply informed and deeply human.

Now, I help sensitive, neurodivergent souls with ADHD and Complex Trauma learn to feel safe in their bodies, soften anxiety and self-doubt, and step into being unapologetically themselves.

What if I don’t usually do well in group spaces?

Totally understandable - many of us carry painful memories from school, work, or social settings that felt unsafe. That’s why this isn’t just a group - it’s a carefully held, fidget-friendly, judgment-free zone designed for sensitivity and nervous system repair.

You’ll have space to pause, stay quiet, or engage in ways that honour your pace.

What if I get overstimulated or overwhelmed?

That’s expected - and it’s exactly what we work with. The day is designed with your sensory system in mind: plenty of breaks, moments of silence, grounding practices, and even movement-friendly options so your body doesn’t have to push through or pretend. Regulation comes from restoration, not performance.

What if I cry / freeze / feel too much?

This space was made for that. Emotional responses are part of the body’s way of processing - and you’ll be guided through gentle ways to stay connected and supported. No shame. No fixing. Just space for truth, held in safety and care.

Will I be the only man / neurodivergent person / shy one?

Not likely. This space draws in people from all walks - including highly sensitive, neurodivergent, introverted, and beautifully unique humans who are tired of shape-shifting just to belong. This is a space for us.

I’m not sure if I’ve been through ‘trauma’ - is this still for me?

Yes. If you’ve ever felt like your emotions were ‘too much,’ struggled with anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, or being constantly ‘on,’ you’re in the right place. This day isn’t about labels - it’s about giving your nervous system what it’s been longing for: safety, compassion, and repair.

I'm male. Will I be the only man there?

While women currently make up around 70% of these spaces, you are welcomed and encouraged to attend as a man. Sensitivity, emotional depth, and neurodivergence need a safe place to land - and men deserve that just as much. If you've ever been told to “just get over it” or “man up,” this space will feel like a breath of fresh air. You’ll leave feeling more connected to your emotions, and with less pressure to perform, fix, or hold it all together.

How is this different from other retreats or workshops?

Many healing spaces still unconsciously cater to neurotypical, high-performing systems - often asking you to sit still, share openly, or engage in ways that aren’t supportive to neurodivergent or sensitive bodies. This day is designed with nervous system repair and sensory needs in mind. It’s fidget-friendly, expression-friendly, and doesn’t demand that you be anything other than exactly how you are. You won’t be asked to push through - instead, you’ll be invited to soften into a pace and rhythm that supports your full being.
